The Kiwanis Santa House has provided a holiday shop to local families since 2006. Originally sponsored by Arvada Wheat Ridge Service Ambassadors for Youth (AWRSAY), our Club has been the lead group in organizing this event and took over management of the project in 2022. Monetary donations from community members and organizations and donations of new toys support this effort. Selected Arvada elementary schools reach out to their families in need to participate in this free holiday shop.
Donations
Monetary Donations can be made by using the Donate button below or by check made payable to Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis Foundation with Santa House on the memo line. Mail to PO Box 973, Arvada, CO 80001.
Many community organizations partner with us to support this worthwhile project including Apex Parks & Recreation District, Arvada Sunrise Rotary, Lake Arbor Purpose Driven Optimist, Arvada Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson County Library Foundation, Intermountain Health – Lutheran Medical Center, faith communities, local businesses, community groups, business leaders, and individuals. Free holiday gifts have been provided to over 12,600 families and 34,700 children over the years. Again in 2025, the program will be held at the Altitude Church in Arvada, where toys, books, stuffed animals, and holiday wrap will be distributed to families from select schools in the local community.
The success of the Kiwanis Santa House is dependent upon the monetary donations from the Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis Foundation, business and community members. Donation boxes are located throughout Arvada where people can drop off toy donations through the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis Foundation is thankful for the many generous friends, partners, and donors who volunteer, contribute toys, and provide monetary donations to support the Santa House.
This year’s Kiwanis Santa House will be held from Tuesday, December 2 until noon, Saturday, December 6th at various times. Families selected by the Family Engagement Liaison from identified local elementary schools will be invited to attend the holiday shop where they select several toys, a stuffed animal, books, a stocking stuffer, a coloring book, and crayons for each of their children 12 years and younger. Gift wrap, ribbons, and candy canes are also distributed.
To help us get more toys for our Santa House, try holding a toy drive at your school, business, church or synagogue, or neighborhood.
Your tax-deductible gift will help give a child a memorable holiday.
